Oscar Winner AR Rahman will compose the official anthem of Premier Fustal which is a franchise-based sports league. What makes it even more exciting is the fact that Virat Kohli, the superstar of Indian cricket, will sing the anthem at an event scheduled to take place in Chennai.
Premier Futsal on Monday unveiled musical maestro AR Rahman as the composer of the league's official anthem, to be sung by India Test captain Virat Kohli, at an event in Chennai ahead of its inaugural season.
Rahman said, "I'm proud to associate with Premier Futsal for the league's official anthem. It makes me happy to see such young entrepreneurs being passionate about the sporting scenario of the country and I wish them all the success in this venture. I'm especially excited to work with Virat Kohli on this, let's hope he is as good with his melody as he is with his bat!"
Virat Kohli, on the other hand, said: 'An honor to have spent some time with the legend, Mr. @arrahman. Genius at work & epitome of humility. Thank You Sir'.
AR Rahman told he is happy to compose for a sports league for the first time. He also claimed to be excited to team up with Virat Kohli and only hopes the Indian Test Skipper is as good with his singing as he is with his bat.
Premier Fustal inaugural ceremony will be happening on June 15th.
